Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi head kit

Looking forward to using the "GO TO" function - no more star hopping searching for your evening's target. Unit is very well made. The only issue I have noticed is the small thumb **** for the battery compartment that can easily be dropped and would be difficult to find if you're out in the field.

No surprises as of yet with respect to the SynScan Pro app with my iPad. Another note is the unit was shipped missing the pier assembly, but after notifying ALL-Star the missing items were delivered quickly. Thanks for the great, after purchase customer service.

Star Adventurer GTi

Received my new SA GTi mount a couple of weeks ago and have has a chance to use it.

So far I'm very impressed, I was looking for a potable setup for imaging and I love the GTi.

Does everything I expected it would and setup with my ZWO AsiAir and Guiding camera/scope results in sub .75 sec guide error and have seen guide errors as low as .50 consistently.

Doing 300 sec exposures proves no trouble as well.

The goto function of the scope is another attribute that I love as well.

With limited imaging time, I can select my target and goto and find it without trouble.

From a travel perspective, my setup is contained in one good sized padded scope case and I love the versatility and flexibility.

The only real issue I found was balancing with the included counterweights.

I ended up having to add a 1.5kg ioptron in addition to get my 10 or so lbs setup to balance. No big issue.

The folks at All-Star Telescope have always taken very good care of me as I've been a long term customer and the SA GTi transaction as have all my purchases went off without a hitch.
