A good alt-az option with the steel tripod

The version of this mount with the steel tripod provides a sturdy base for my 6” f/4 Orion Newtonian, which is a fairly chunky load. Not exactly “buttery smooth” but it gets the job done. Only 4 stars cuz the first sample received was defective as the azimuth would not respond to fine tuning. From Cloudy Nights & Stargazers Lounge it seems this defect is not uncommon. All-Star support was terrific in sending me a replacement.
