Pentax SD 8x42 WP Binoculars (62761)

Pentax designed the 8x42 S-Series SD WP (WaterProof) Binocular for a lifetime of rugged outdoor use in all weather and lighting conditions. The 42mm objectives are fully multicoated to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission through the entire optical path.

Description

Its roof prisms are phase-corrected to correct for chromatic aberrations ensuring bright and clear high-contrast images with true colour rendition even in low-light. Its general purpose 8x magnification brings subjects close while maintaining a wide 60° angle of view to preserve situational awareness.

Large objective lenses incorporated in the design allow for contrast-rich, bright viewing under all light conditions.

New lens coating is a high grade, multi-layer coating that reduces reflectance in the visible light spectrum, allowing the user to view crisp, high-contrast images free of flare and ghosting, even under demanding lighting conditions. Long eye relief for comfortable viewing with or without glasses. Waterproof and nitrogen-filled (JIS Class 6) to handle the most extreme weather conditions (submersible to 1m).
