Triple APOD - February 20, 2026: SH2-230 Region by Kirby Price

This image includes the Flaming Star Nebula (IC405) and Tadpoles nebulae (IC410)  which are located in Auriga and best imaged in the winter months.

About 56 hours (672 light frames from 14 different imaging sessions) of total integration taken between November 17,2023,

and Jan 18, 2026 for this image taken from Bortle 7/8 skies in Sherwood Park Alberta.
 
Light frames of 300 seconds were done using the following:

Askar FRA400 scope with 0.7 reducer, EAF for focusing

ZWO 2600MC Pro camera with a gain of 100 and -10 and -20C cooling

iOptron CEM26 mount

The following filters were used:

Optolong L-Enhance filter, L-Extreme & L-Synergy, Antlia Tri-band, & Quad band

and HuTech IDAS LPS-D2

30mm f4.0 guide scope with ASI 120mm Mini camera
Control done with ASIAIR Plus.
