Bought the lithium and the light. Perfect for running my camera and avx. Prefect DSO viewing in Borle 1-3 skies.
I've had this now for a couple of weeks. My rig is running Stellarmate on a Raspberry Pi, and it saw the iEAF immediately and works well with it. No more freezing my fingers to get perfect focus!
I enquired about getting a specific brand (NOTKA) brand of metal detector. There were non in stock, and I placed an order anyway. I was amazed at how quick I got the unit. The staff were very friendly, and even showed my what other metal detecting units were available, not out on display. They specialize in telescopes, however, they also sell rock tumblers, prospecting equipment and science-kits for kids. What a surprise!
This is my third Williams Optics Product and also my favorite. Easy to grab and go with full image train installed. Very little tweaking required. Works great with both mirrorless and zwo astro cams. Many large objects frame up nicely.
I chose this telescope because it balanced a reasonable aperture of 6" with a compact size and weight to take camping in our RV. I have tried a few telescopes like an 8" Dobsonian, but I needed a more compact and transport friendly. The AVX mount is great even on a shaky back deck. The folks at All-Star were great help as well.
As usual All-Startelescope has been great to deal with. The scope is a great choice for the price and simplicity of use. Easy setup, user friendly controls and great pics while you sit inside and watch DSO’s appear on your screen.
Screws on in seconds and works like a charm, it makes a drastic improvement in contrast and features.
Works great. I used it to clean some old gunk on my eyepiece lenses and the cloth tip did the job like magic, fantastic. It might be a little fragile for larger jobs, though, as I noticed some very light wear after just a few uses. Still, great if you want something in your kit that's quick, compact and dry to clean your lenses with. Much easier than using fluid.
The padded case for the C9.25 tube assembly, a scope I’ve had for quite a while, deserved a good home and the case is nicely padded and protects it well. It can be a little hard getting the OTA in and out of the case as it doesn’t open up fully along the complete length. You have to either lower the tube front first down one end of the cylinder (a zippered cap opens up for this). Or you slide it in from the other end with as much of the length unzippered and open as possible. A bit unwieldy with a heavy tube, but once it is in it is snug and protected. There was enough room to accommodate the added JMI focuser I had on the back end. And it fits in with the standard 6x30 finder but not with a larger finder or guidescope.
I use a ZWO ASI 294MC Pro camera and often switch between IR/UV Cut filters and HAOIII filters. Prior to buying this filter wheel I would manually change the filter which was a pain. This device works beautifully and adds more convenience to my astrophotography work flow. The quality of the filter wheel seems good, it was easy to insert filters, and works seamlessly with the ZWO ASIAir ecosystem. I would highly recommend,
The views in this eyepiece are bright and clear. It is an excellent wider field eyepiece that is very helpful in searching for specific objects or simply exploring the night sky. The price is very reasonable. Recommended!
The light is great and a very handy portable lantern, especially for putting light where I need it during telescope setup and onto the ground. The on-off switch is easy to use with thick gloves and the lamp works well at cold temperatures (-16C in my case) and I haven’t needed to recharge it yet after several hours of use. While it may be far too bright for looking at charts or sketch pad while observing, it is easy to dim the brightness by simply covering the lamp head with a cloth.
This piece of kit streamlines the entire process from start to finish. Worth the price for the tracking and polar alignment options on its own, let alone finding the difficult stars and galaxies.
I had one of the first Skywatcher star adventurer mounts and I had nothing but problems with the polar alignment and the setup. I found the batteries would die regularly and I would have to replace the batteries every time I went out. I also found the extra eyepiece for the polar align to be difficult to use and always forget it after driving to get on location. I would have to keep spare batteries in my toolbox for the eyepiece as it was always switching on in the bags.
The GTi mount is a goto mount. It will align to the polar star on its own and requires minimal manual adjustment. I paired this mount with the ASIair Plus and used it with my Canon R5. The ASIair powers the GTi mount and handles all the x and y movements. The Camera is used for the polar alignment and you can zoom in. I would recommend getting the tripod to save time with setup and the tripod is rather good and stiff.
Love All Star. Prices are reasonable and the stones I received were beautiful and I can want to tumble them
I have only used my S30 for imaging the sun 🌞 as we have not had favorable nightskys .
As for the Sun I am very happy with the results so far. It seems well worth the cost and is very easy to use.
