Triple APOD - April 17, 2025: Elephant's Trunk Nebula By Graham Braun

From Graham:

The Elephant's Trunk nebula shot with the surrounding ionized dust and gas area IC 1396.  This was shot in late August/early September from our backyard.  Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop using the Hubble palette and false color.

Total integration time was about 9.75hrs consisting of:
OIII @ 180sec x 43
OIII @ 300sec x 17
SII @ 180sec x 46
SII @ 300sec x 15
Ha @ 180sec x 42
RGB Stars - RGB@ 60sec x 15 each
Also some cursing at the computer.

The equipment used was:
Mount - Sky-Watcher HEQ5 tuned by Dark Frame Optics
Telescope - Sky-Watcher Esprit 80ED
Main Camera - ZWO ASI6200 MM Pro
Filters - ZWO EFW W/Optolong 3nm Ha, SII, and OIII, RGB for the stars
Focuser - Pegasus Focus Cube V2
Guide Scope and Camera - William Optics 50mm guide scope with the ZWO ASI120MM Mini
Power Distribution/Management - Pegasus Pocket Power Box Advance
