Reflector or reflecting telescopes use mirrors to gather and focus light.  This is a big tent category that includes dobsonian telescopes, newtonian telescopes, Schmidt-Cassegrain, Maksutov, and other catadioptric or compound designs.  There are long focal length and short focal length scopes.  Reflector or reflecting telescopes are great for visual observation, and astrophotography alike.
