Great with the AM3

Brought it to be used with an AM3. We didn't had a lot of clear sky lately but so far I love it.
It is really compact when folded which is great. Deployed is "only" 80cm but it's not an inconvenience, the AM3 **** falls in the best position for me to do the PA.
Maybe if I use the AM3 in ALT/Z mode for visual astronomy it might be a little to short (I will try one clear day).
Overall it's a really well made and sturdy tripod and I recommend it

ZWO TC40 Carbon Fiber Tripod

I bought this tripod along with an AM3 mount and must say that I am delighted with the purchase. I ordered this combination as a lightweight alternative to the other tripods/mounts that I own, primarily for travel and it has not disappointed so far. The tripod is incredibly light yet maintains stability as good or better than others. Of course, it works extremely well with ZWO mounts but I am impressed enough that I will probably use it with my SA GTi as well.

It is relatively short and I will likely purchase a pier extension for backyard imaging when they are in stock. Of course, All-Star Telescope made the purchase and delivery process easy. Of all the purchases I have made, this ranks at the top.

ZWO TC40 tripod

Bought the tripod due to light weight, to be used with my AM5 mount. I had very good guiding while using it with my iOptron 8” RC and also my Sky Watcher 8” Quattro.

Good value and fit for purpose

I really like it, it's super light, very sturdy, low to the ground for imaging and barely takes any room to stow and transport. The AM5 locks down onto it with no movement and the storage bag holds my AC to DC power supply. If you intend to look through an eyepiece this isn't the tripod for you.

ZWO TC40 tripod

This is total overkill for the AZ-GTi mount I use it with. But overkill in a good way.
It is the steadiest of all the tripods I have tried with this mount, but it is lighter than any of them. When collapsed, it fits nicely into standard checked luggage.
I don't know if the quick-release plates are available as a separate item, but I would buy at least one more, if I could.

Update: unscrew the rubber feet and the tripod fits nicely into a standard Pelican rolling carry-on.
