0.8x Reducer

The 0.8x reducer can bring Askar 103APO's focal ratio down to F5.4. This is a standard reducer with field flattening capabilities as well. A shorter focal ratio allows the OTA to have a wider field of view and faster exposure times, making it suitable for capturing large areas of nebulae, star clusters, and faint, fast-moving celestial objects.

The 0.8x reducer adopts a triplet design and supports a 44mm full-frame image circle. The overall weight is 0.48kg. The back focus from the M48 thread is a standard 55mm. The front thread is M84*1. At the camera end, it is equipped with M54*0.75 and M48*0.75 two sizes of adapters, which are convenient for connection. At the same time, it has a built-in M48*0.75 2-inch filter thread, which can be directly installed and used. The overall CNC machined, both end threaded metal caps prevent ash when not in use.

0.6x Reducer

The 0.6x reducer can bring the Askar 103APO's focal ratio down to F4 while also providing field flattening. Askar 103APO adopts a detachable tube design, where the rear part of the tube can be removed when using the 0.6x reducer, allowing the telescope to have the necessary length to achieve an F4 focal ratio.

The 0.6x reducer adopts a quadruplet design that also supports a 44mm full-frame image circle. The overall weight is 0.98kg. The back focus from the M48 thread is a standard 55mm. The front thread is M84*1. At the camera end, we have equipped three sizes of adapter,M68*1, M54*0.75, and M48*0.75 for easy subsequent connection and use. At the same time, the built-in M48*0.75 2-inch filter thread can be used to install filters directly. The overall CNC machined, both end threaded metal caps prevent ash when not in use.

1.0x Flattener

The 1x flattener does not change the telescope's focal ratio itself. After connecting with the Askar 103APO, it still maintained a focal length of 6.8. The flattener corrects field curvature and coma, resulting in flatter field edges and finer star points.

The 1.0x flattener adopts a triplet design and supports a 44mm full-frame image circle. The overall weight is 0.58kg. The back focus from the M48 thread is a standard 55mm. The front thread is M84*1. At the camera end, it is equipped with M54*0.75 and M48*0.75 two sizes of adapters, which are convenient for connection. At the same time, it has a built-in M48*0.75 2-inch filter thread, which can be directly installed and used. The overall CNC machined, both end threaded metal caps prevent ash when not in use.

Askar 103 APO Flateners/Reducers

Do yourself a favour and just get all 3. They complete the 103 and give you tremendous options, without adding another scope. If you have any intentions of getting into Deep Sky or Planetary imaging this is a must have trio. While opinions differ on the ..6, it does work well and compliments the APO very well

Love the options

Good optic quality. So glad there are two of them (0.8x & 0.6x) which provides two additional focal length for one telescope. It feels like cheating a bit does it not?

Askar 103APO

Have not had much imaging time due to clouds, but the images I have completed have been very good. The 103 is very well made and delivers what I was looking for. The .08 reducer gives the views I was looking for also. Would recommend this scope.

High quality construction. Very well packaged. Great companion to the 103APO. Produces flat star images when used either the scope.

Askar 103Apo

Bought this scope with all 3 reducer/flattener from All Star telescope. Tried 0.6x reducer and the flattener so far only due to the clouds.

The scope and reducer/flattener all have solid build and initial test yield good results optically. Need to do more test with fingers crossed.
