Observer's Map

This is quite a sizeable map to have for those evenings you decide to go out and catch a glimpse of the moon up close. Given the nature and complexity of the moon and all her splendor, it's amazing that Celestron managed to fit such a wealth of information within two (albeit large) pages.

I really appreciate the durability of this map as well. It feels thick and sturdy. I enjoy having it out most when using my Ultima 100, as taking breaks from viewing through the 45 degree eyepiece has allowed me to sit down and absorb a great amount of information without straining to read certain parts. I find that dusk is the best time for using, when you have fleeting natural light. I can still concentrate on identifying particular areas of the moon, without relying heavily on my red light. If you do decide to use it at night, make sure you have your red light source charged and at the ready to easily navigate the map.

This is a very informative tool for your observer kit; it will likely take me years to become familiar with the moon and all her features, but it has made me all the more excited to go out and observe every chance possible. I may purchase another to frame as it would be a stunning piece of wall art in addition to how practical it is.
