Great accompaniment to the EAF!

If you're using an EAF, this is a great add-on (as is the hand focuser). During very cold nights in the winter, I use a dew heater strap on my EAF to keep it warmer (since it's rated to run no lower than -5 deg C) and the probe is 'independent' of the EAF so it reads a fairly accurate ambient temp even with the dew heater running and will command an autofocus when appropriate. It's really a great accessory for the EAF.

A must have.

Works great with zwo auto focuser as temperatures change.

Nice-to-have temperature probe

This temperature probe is working as expected. The ZWO EAF has an internal temperature sensor, so even without the temperature probe, the software can read the ambient temperature (at least inside the EAF body). Alternatively, the temperature probe can be mounted so that the sensor is in contact with the OTA, or other surface, near to or upon the material holding the lens, mirror, or other temperature critical optics. This allows reading a material temperature which may be of more use than just ambient air.

You should get this if you are using the ASI Air setup

The temp sensor is not critical, but as part of the app and autofocus (and when that occurs) this gives you the temp option to perform a focus run.
