Product Description

The right-angle version of the red-dot finder will save your neck looking up. You won't have to wander around looking for the dot either; the spot is easily seen centered with your eye at the output barrel.

Antares Right angle red dot finder

The item was 74 dollars with shipping included, to my door. The item is light and stiff. Light and stiff is GOOD. The adjustment for the right angle diagonal is pretty ok. Its not the best , its not the worst. Once you get it set up, for the most part it stays put. Red dot is fine. The right angle feature is nice when you are looking toward the zenith area of the sky so you don't have to really strain to look in that area. Now, if you dont have the correct height off the ground, which is no fault of the finder you still might have to bend your knees, your back etc, so get height correct for it. In order to maximize its benefit , REALLY put your eye up close, this will give you the maximum view possible from the antares finder but understand a couple things. 1. its field stop is not the biggest to begin with, you might want a bigger one? a quarter is bigger than a nickel and so finding objects would be improved with a larger field of view. 2. Because its a bit small and youre looking down, your other eye cannot help you navigate where you are if you had a straight through scope! So while good, nothing is perfect. So overall its not too bad. Overall I do enjoy the right angle feature with those caveats mentioned. Do i recommend it? yeah. Its pretty good at its price. Its cool looking.

Review of Antares Right Angle Red Dot Finder

I don't recommend the product. Unfortunately there was no way to affix the mirror in the set up, so the mirror consistently moved, with a risk of it actually falling out. So I just removed it, and it became a regular red dot finder. Product not worth the extra money in my view.
