Triple Apod - July 24, 2024: Cygnus Wall by Evan Buss
The Cygnus Wall region in the North America Nebula features a great range of colours and wavelengths, making it a common and effective yardstick for comparing different filters and processing techniques.
Askar's new Colour Magic duoband filters are a clever new set of filters that allow astrophotographers using one shot colour cameras a previously inaccessible amount of control over the wavelengths they're photographing, and the ways they can combine them in post processing. Using both filters lets you shoot not just true Hubble Pallette SHO images with your OSC camera, but many other colour palettes as well, as seen in today's image by Evan Buss. Evan shared that after combining the filters, no further processing was required to achieve these great colours!
