Product Description

The new Trinovid HD 32 binoculars are extremely flexible in their use and convince with their optical performance, easily understandable handling and timeless design. With its proven Leica HD optics, the Trinovid HD offers the perfect combination of modern light transmission, vivid and brilliant neutral colors, contrasts and sharpness. It is shockproof and has a safe grip thanks to the robust and resistant rubber armoring even when put under considerable stress. The package is completed by a well though-out, comfortable neoprene carrying system that ensures quick access and safe storage. Ideal for even more breathtaking observations anytime anywhere.

Complementing the views produced by the Trinovid HD are construction details that make this optic able to stand up to the rigors of a life lived on the trail. First is a lightweight, sturdy, and corrosion-resistant magnesium alloy chassis that makes this binocular light and easy to handle. The body is covered with a textured rubber armor that protects it from bumps and impacts while giving it a slip-resistant grip in cold or wet conditions. Its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make it waterproof and submersible as well as fogproof when moving between extreme temperature fluctuations. To make handling the Trinovid easier are tethered objective lens covers that flip down and out of the way for observing, plus an ocular rainguard that attaches to the strap.

Not as good as I had hoped

Bought these binos to replace my old Leitz 8x32b. While the image quality is definitely perfect (mostly due to more modern coatings I guess), these binos are way less comfortable to use. First off, the field of view is narrower even comparing to my old Leitz 8x32B, which already had a reduced field comparing to the regular 8x32. Second, the eye placement can be tricky and definitely less forgiving than the one on my Leitz. Third, a weil-like artifact appears when you are looking slightly up and the skies are bright. Fourth, in order to get the maximum FOV I have to keep the eye cups fully extended, and my eyes are rather deeply set in the sockets. So if your eyes are not set deeply, then you likely won't be able to hold the binos the way I personally prefer - when eye cups slightly touch my eye sockets or brows.
Overall, the image quality, the build quality and the focusing mechanism are amazing, but from usability perspective these binos are not as good. I have never experienced such usability issues with my good old Leitz 8x32B.
