The GiantView 70mm WP Astronomy Binocular is a wonderfully well made binocular. For starters, its waterproof construction means you can use it in any weather conditions. No need to worry if it gets rained on! The BAK-4 prisms and internal baffling ensure sharp images and pleasing contrast. Also, this big binocular provides a generous 4.6mm exit pupil and the serious magnifying power (15x) you need to resolve subtle details in your target object. The eyepieces focus individually, which affords a higher degree of focusing precision than center-focus mechanisms. And the long 18mm eye relief lets see an unrestricted field of view, even if you're wearing eyeglasses or sunglasses.
We call this glass an "astronomy binocular," and scanning the starry skies is a rewarding experience, to be sure. But of course the GiantView 70mm WP excels for high-resolution viewing during daylight hours as well. Anything you can observe with a standard size binocular will look bigger, closer, and more vivid with the GiantView! You can hand hold it, but given its 15x magnifying power we strongly recommend mounting it on a tripod during extended viewing sessions to keep the views steady. For that you will need a binocular L-adapter (sold separately).
